Anyone who knows me knows that I loveeee pineapple flavor everything. I love pineapple on its own, pineapple soaked in vodka (don’t knock it til you try it), and mostly, pineapple margaritas.
While in quarantine, I’ve turned into quite the bartender. Okay, maybe I just throw ingredients into a shaker and call it “bartending”…. but still. The drinks don’t turn out too bad, okay?! So if you’re a pineapple margarita fan and want to try out my new recipe, here it is! I would love to know if anyone tries this, and if so, please let me know what you think by leaving me a comment! Cheers!
Ingredients:
Pineapple Juice – I used good ole canned Dole pineapple juice. I’m sure it would be incredibly delicious to use fresh pineapple juice, but canned juice was all we had. And we’re in the middle of a pandemic, so that’s the best I could do! Like I said, I kind of made up this recipe, so I didn’t really measure the amount of pineapple juice I poured in. I would say my drink was about 3/4 pineapple juice, and the rest was alcohol. You can always pour more juice in if you’re not happy with the taste.
Tequila – I’m a big fan of a strong marg. I added about a shot and a half of tequila into the shaker, and it was a bit strong, however, I enjoyed the strong taste. How much tequila you add is entirely up to you! For my specific drink, I used
Grand Marnier – My mom introduced me to Grand Marnier during this quarantine. It’s a sweet liqueur made from a blend of brandy, orange, and sugar… according to Google. It adds a sweetness to any margarita, but tastes extra delicious when mixed with the pineapple flavor from this recipe.
Lime Juice – Fresh squeezed lime juice is receommended and probably tastes better, but we didn’t have any limes on hand. I used bottled lime juice and it tasted perfectly fine, in my opinion. You can add as much lime juice as you desire, but I added just a splash for taste.
Optional – rim glass with sugar, and top with pineapple slice for decoration.
Add all ingredients together in a shaker with ice. Shake it up, and pour into your glass. Now you’re good to go! Enjoy!
