Hi friends!
For those of you who have been following me on Instagram since a couple weeks ago, you may have seen that I posted a “Get Ready With Me” to my Instagram story as I got ready to go to a gala. Well, I saved those stories to my Instagram Highlights (under “GET READY W/ ME”) so you can watch them any time you want! With tons of holiday parties and events coming up, I wanted to list out all the products I used to make it even easier for you to glam up your holiday look. Here are all the products I used/in the order I used them
-
Skincare (not shown in video)
- After washing my face, I apply Kiehl’s Daily Reviving Concentrate to moisturize my skin. I absolutely LOVE this product and it is something that I will continue to purchase again and again.
- Next, I apply Clinique Moisture Surge Hydrating Concentrate. My skin in SUPER dry in the winter, so I double up on moisturizers.
- I then go in with Urban Decay Optical Illusion Complexion Primer to prepare my skin for makeup.
-
Brows
- First, I brush them out with Benefit Cosmetics Precisely, My Brow (on the brush end of the product). Then, I’ll flip the product upside down and use the actual product to fill in my brows using light strokes.
- For a more dramatic brow look, I’ll go in with Benefit Cosmetics ka-BROW, which is a gel-like product and appears more bold than simply filling brows in with a pencil. Again, lightly apply this product using hair-like strokes. Don’t worry about making them look “perfect”. Brows should always look like sisters, not twins!
-
Eyes
- I always begin the eye makeup process by curling my lashes with a Revlon eyelash curler.
- I then apply Urban Decay Potion Primer to my eye lids. I have used this stuff since high school, and I can’t praise it enough. I am OBSESSED, and I never do my makeup without using it. EVER.
- For eye shadow, I used the original Naked Palette. Here are the colors I used:
- First, use shade “Naked” and apply this all over the lid with this fluffy Lancome Eyeshadow Blending brush.
- Then, go over top of that shade (focusing more on building color in the crease of your eyes) with shade “Buck”, using the same brush.
- Go into your crease with shade “Darkhorse” with this crease brush.
- Apply shade “Smog” to your eyelids by gently pressing the powder onto your lids to avoid fallout, using this brush.
- Apply shade “Virgin” to your brow bone using any brush, or you can even use your finger.
- For eyeliner, I have never been a fan of a harsh eyeliner look. For that reason, I use this Angled Liner Brush to get product from this Sigma Eyeliner Pencil, and smudge the product along my lash line.
-
Face
- Using a DAMP BEAUTY BLENDER, you’re going to apply your foundation using the thick end of the beautyblender. Because I was headed to a gala and wanted full coverage, I mixed two foundations together. This IT Cosmetics CC cream is illuminating, while this Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation provides more coverage. Apply the product in blotting motions, do not drag/blend it.
- Apply this NARS Concealer underneath your eyes, on your forehead, down the bridge of your nose, on your cupids bow, and on your chin. Using the skinny side of the beautyblender, blend concealer into the foundation.
- To add a more prominent highlight, go over top of the concealer with one of the light/highlighting shades from the Anastasia Beverly Hills Cream Contour Kit
- TIME TO BAKE. Using Ben Nye powder, use this Lancome brush to bake the powder onto your concealer. This will set the concealer and keep it from moving throughout the night.
- While there is loose powder below your eyes, take this MAC eyeshadow brush and smudge shadow along your lower lash line. I typically smudge the darkest eye shadow colors I used on the upper lid. So, in this case, I used Smog and Darkhorse.
- I then take this fluffy bronzer brush and apply my FAVORITE bronzer of all time (seriously.. I’ve been using this since high school), Benefit Hoola bronzer.. I apply this underneath my cheek bones, along my jawline, and on my forehead near my hair line.
- Finally, use any brush (that has no product on it!) to dust off the loose setting powder now that it has baked into your skin.
- Time to contour our noses! Using this MAC Angled Contour brush, go back in with Hoola Bronzer and line the edges of your nose to contour.
- Using that same brush, go in to the Anastasia Beverly Hills Powder Contour Kit and contour your cheek bones, jaw line, and hair line. Blend out product with your fluffy bronzer brush to appear more natural.
- For blush, I am OBSESSED with Laura Geller. Using this Sigma brush, apply shade Pink Buttercream by Laura Geller to your cheekbones/apples of your cheeks.
- For highlighter, this Becca highlighter in Champagne Pop is hands down the best highlighter I’ve ever used. Apply with this fan brush for a flawless glow along your cheekbones, bridge of your nose, and cupids bow.
-
MASCARA. The best part.
- The best mascara I’ve ever used in my entire life is Too Faced Better Than Sex. I can’t tell you how many people have asked me if I am wearing fake lashes, when I’m not. I apply multiple coats to my top lashes, and one quick coat to my bottom lashes.
- If I had enough time to apply fake lashes, I would have applied these.
-
Lips
- First, I lined my lips with “Soar” by MAC. This shade is sooo pretty and is one of the lip liners that’s ALWAYS in my purse.
- I went over top of the liner with my favorite Stila Liquid Lipstick – Patina. I can’t say enough good things about this color! So so so pretty and flattering on everyone.
- If you make any mistakes, go back in with a Qtip to touch up any areas where the liquid lipstick may have gotten a little outside the lines.
- Finish with this Urban Decay Setting Spray.
-
Hair
- First, I use Living Proof Full Dry Volume Blast to give my hair some volume. I separate my hair into sections, and lightly spray the roots.
- I then brush out my hair and prepare to curl it with my favorite T3 iron. I grab small sections of my hair (maybe 1-inch sections) and begin to curl. For a visual on how I curl my hair, head on over to my highlights to watch how I curl!
- Once you’re happy with your curls, spray your hair with Tresemme hair spray and let it sit (without touching it or running your fingers through it). This is where I typically go change for the night.
- Once you’ve changed, brush out the curls.
YOU ARE READY TO GO! Officially all glammed up. This look is sooo pretty, and can be worn to any holiday event you have coming up this season. If you try this look, please let me know by leaving a comment below, and I hope you love this look as much as I do!
