It’s no secret that I am not the most active person on the planet. I’ve never been fond of the gym. Not only am I not fond of it, but the gym actually gives me a lot of anxiety. I feel like I never know how to properly use any machines, or I don’t know which workouts to do unless I’m with a friend who tells me. I am a dancer and danced my whole life, so going to the dance studio 4-5 times a week was always my way of exercising instead of belonging to a gym.
Well… those days have come and gone. I no longer dance (although I do really enjoy barre-type workout classes), and my metabolism isn’t quite what it used to be. I’ve taken on the world of working out, and I’ve been exploring all kinds of exercises. Because of my lack of desire to head to the gym, I never felt it was necessary to spend money on workout attire in the past. I always thought wearing a ratty old Sorority tee and Nike shorts was the way to go. After all, I was just going to ruin the clothes by sweating in them, right? Wrong.
I soon discovered the importance of cute, comfortable, and flattering workout attire. When I feel put-together in any outfit, I feel more confident — this especially goes for activewear. Personally, I feel like I work out harder when I feel more confident in myself and what I’m wearing. Maybe it’s all in my head, but surely there is someone else out there who can relate?!
The best part about adorable activewear? It’s SO affordable. There are countless stores and websites out there that carry the cuuuuutest workout clothes at such affordable prices. Perfect for both your closet as well as your bank account! Below are a few of my favorite places to stock up on affordable activewear. Happy shopping!!
Old Navy – My all time favorite spot for activewear.
Target – Another great affordable option!
H&M – Personally, I’ve never tried activewear from H&M. However, by the looks of the adorable selection from their website, I will definitely be trying some very very soon.
TJ Maxx – The fact that I can shop online at TJ Maxx is extremely dangerous. It’s hands down one of my favorite stores.
Nordstrom Rack – I absolutely love the activewear at Nordstrom Rack. Same quality as regular Nordstrom, but almost half the price? Can’t beat it.
Amazon – Who doesn’t love Amazon? Amazon prime is the best/worst thing that has ever happened to me and my bank account. Below are some of my favorite picks from Amazon:
Shein – Hands down the most affordable option for activewear. Not sure it’s the best quality, but it’s still adorable.
Hope everyone’s having a great week, and happy almost Friday!
